Additional Testing Needed

Crap, the NT scan results came back with a slightly elevated risk for Down Syndrome. It identified a 1:90 chance that there is a problem, high enough to warrant additional testing. So I will be scheduling a CVS this week. CVS is a procedure where they stick a needle in and pull out some material so they can test the genes and for sure identify if there are any chromosomal problems. I'm trying to focus on the fact that 1:90 odds of a problem means that 89 times out of 90 there is no problem at all. That means by far the most likely outcome is that we will find out in two weeks that there is no problem, plus as a bonus we will know the sex of the baby.
